2024 Update Process

The Kenton County Planning Commission is mandated to review and readopt the County’s Comprehensive Plan every five years per Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) 100.197 (1) and (2). A full rewrite of the plan was adopted in 2014 as Direction2030, followed by a review and readoption in 2019. The timeline below provides an overview of the work that was carried out to develop a new set of goals and objectives as well as recommendations for the Direction 2030 plan.
The current review and readoption project began in March 2022 and is scheduled to be adopted in the Fall of 2024. The timeline below provides an overview of the work carried out to review the recommendations of the Comprehensive Plan, update background research, and conduct public outreach.
