Process to Update Goals and Objectives

The Direction 2030 statement of goals and objectives were derived through significant public and community outreach.  Numerous meetings were conducted to gain the perspective of those who live, work, play, and govern in Kenton County.  Read on to view highlights of how the goals and objectives were created.

New Goals and Objectives were adopted for the Comprehensive Plan in 2014. Prior to then that, Kenton County used the same Goals and Objectives for over 40 years.  Significant effort was required to research, draft, and revise these guiding principles and shepherd them through the adoption process. The timeline below provides an overview of the work that took place throughout the Goals & Objectives drafting and adoption process from 2011 to 2014.
