Kenton County Transportation Plan (KCTP)
The Kenton County Transportation Plan was adopted in 2014 by the Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments and is intended to meet Kenton County’s Transportation needs through the year 2040. The plan was a countywide assessment that addresses all modes of transportation in Kenton County and is the basis for the Transportation Element in Direction 2030.
Recommendations in this plan are divided into three priority categories: high, medium, and low. Improvements identified in the recommendations section focus on roadway or intersection improvements, most of which contain bicycle and pedestrian related enhancements. There are sixteen bicycle and pedestrian specific recommendations in the plan which include improvements such as bike sharrows on roads, constructing new multi-use paths, and filling in sidewalk gaps.
