Tri-State Trails Regional Trails Plan

Green Umbrella is a regional organization that works on a variety of action areas to facilitate collaboration between businesses, non-profits, and government entities focusing on the environment and sustainability. Tri-State Trails, a specialized initiative of Green Umbrella, is a collaboration effort to improve and expand bicycling and walking to communities and all people in the Cincinnati region. In 2014, Tri-State Trails developed the Regional Trails Plan, which outlines the vision to connect and expand the multi-use system in Greater Cincinnati Region.
The plan is the result of an extensive regional planning process and identifies existing and proposed trails as well as those that need further study. Specifically, in Kenton County, this plan identifies future east-west connections along KY 536 and multiple trails where further study is required. The Kenton Connects study supports Tri-State Trails and their efforts to identify and connect existing and proposed trails on a regional level. Figure 8 is the Regional Trails Map for the entire region which can also be found at www.greenumbrella.org/tristatetrails.
