An essential component of the planning process was to keep stakeholders informed throughout the course of the three year project using different traditional print and social media tools.  Many local sources for print media were used to spread the word to reach a wider audience.  Click here Read on to learn more about the efforts that were pursued to publicize the project.


The planning effort has included extensive media outreach to keep stakeholders informed about the process. Traditional tools such as printed news articles and a television interview were used along with social media tools including Facebook and Twitter over the course of 3 years to reach a wider audience. In addition, monthly updates on the project were emailed to those who signed up at public meetings.
